I have a 90 or 91 start plus that was damaged in a flood. The neck is fine but the body's finish is shot. I would like to refinish it in the original metallic blue burst (transparent) and would like to know where I can get the paint code and information on the type of finish used. Love this guitar and want to bring it back to life.

This is a good question huttat. Welcome to the Forum.... I have tracked down a lot of the mixing colors for the vintage finishes, simply because they were really automotive colors. But some of the newer finishes might be Fender mixes and are harder to come by. What you can do is take the body to a body shop and some of them have this cool little tool that reads the finish and gives a possible mix for it. BTW, I have the exact same body finish on my player guitar. Doing a transparent burst like Fender did is pretty tricky too. and yes, post some picts. I would simply like to see what it looks like now. If water damaged I am surprised it did not warp the body. There are two other options, watch ePay for a replacement body or do a nice Warmoth replacement.
