If that Guitar gets A decent setup, And you play it through a decent amp, preferably tube amp, your dissapointment will disappear. Trust me. I`ve owned many guitars in the last 67 years, and they are very good guiitars. I recently bought one, because i`ve always wanted a strat, and am amazed every time I pick it up to play. Of course I set up my own to get the maximum playability, and tone. I push mine through a 30 watt Peavey Cassic 30. The secret is in the setup and the amp. And of course learning and practice. They are not only good guitars, but also very cabable of great tone. You bought it right, at the price you paid. Get a pro setup including pickup hieght, and get a decent tube amp, and you`ll be happy.

The MIM Guitars are very well made and with a proper setup should give you many years of playing enjoyment.

I think fo rthe money they are the best deal around even though I don't own one. I have friends that do and they sound better than I do with my American Strat...the player does have a lot to do with that! :D

Hey,

I got my MIM about 3 months back. Brand new, for 380 bucks. And its a very good guitar. Plays well. Good PU's and very good action. Just get it set up or better...do it yourself, if you can, so you can set it to your preferences and.....play on....

I got the chrome red one. Looks really good...and I have put some pin-stripping on it, that makes it more attractive.

All in all, a very good instrument fully worth the price paid.

Enjoy.

I got a MIM strat yesterday and can't believe how nice the neck is! I used to own an American strat but sold it (still regret it!) and this Mexican strat isn't that different feel wise. Sound wise obviously the USA strat was a little better! But, I'm very happy with my new strat! Really fast neck for those Richie Kotzen moments, and great blues tone for the Clapton / Mayer moments.
