I just read on the Fender site that the EJ nut is Synthetic Bone. Does this apply to the models made in 2006 - 2007? I was told that they may have been bone on earlier models. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks Mike

It applies to everything, except CS guitars. Then it's only some that get bone.

Makes no difference anyway. You can't hear any difference (if one exists) on fretted notes.

Thank you NN, I agree with you that there is no/ little difference, this was more to settle a "debate" between a couple of us EJ owners.
