Well, now, since the knife edges are probably the cause of this, as I assumed, + the fulrom posts are the weaknes, how much is this gonna be? And how?

Since I just bought the guitar, AND it was supposed to be in a working condiiton, i should get a refund, if i want. Since its ebay, and all.

Yup, its freebay.

check on wammiworld.com . the stuff isn't expensive. don't be too concerned about it, fulcrums and stop posts are consumable pieces. I would get a couple sets to keep in my personal stock in case the day comes you can't get parts for it. I know I'll have mine that long.

BTW, high action is just that. the guitar plays, right? So it needs a set up. big deal.

Your strings are too heavy or you need more springs. I have the exact model.
As you can see ,I have 4 springs fitted and my strings are 10-46gauges.

It's supposed to sit much flatter. Did you say you've screwed the post right down? That not good mate. They are not meant to be screwed down. I wish you hadn't messed with the neck too.

Springs mate, Springs.

Talked to the seller, and he said that i should do a truss-rod adjustment, because he havent done it.

Also i have 4 NEW orginial springs in the back. Im gonna order som knife-edges if thats possible, and some new studs, and then hope for the best.

before you tweek the truss rod, check your neck relief. It doesn't look like that's the problem in the pic you posted first. It is possible that you will have to shim the neck...

As an owner of one of these guitars, I am also curious about what the actual problem was.
I thought it may have been something simple. Mine sat up like that when I changed to a heavier string gauge but this was easily adjusted by screwing the spring claw in a little.
The OP's springs seem to be as tight as they go. Who knows?

I fear the OP's inexperience may be depriving him of what is a great guitar. I am always interested in communicating with other owners of these mysterious Strats.

A thread I started previously answered a lot of question for me.

Bridge height, neck shim and truss rod adjustment (and several others) should all be done together. As you're finding out, a single tweak will not get you where you need to be. I reccomend you invest in Dan Erlewine's Guitar Repair manual, or take the guitar to a reputable repairman for a full set-up. The setup will cost you around $50-$75, the book is around thirty, but the knowledge you will gain is priceless. Take your time and learn how each adjustment affects the instrument and play; I think every guitar player should have basic setup skills. It's especially helpful in that you know better how to communicate tough issues to a repair person.
