Isn't it funny that some people can make heaven on the junkiest guitars and others can make garbage from the most expensive.

Look at SRV: I wouldn't have touched his Strat unless I was wearing latex gloves after all the sweat and cr@p that destroyed the finish and just about everything else, but, man, could he play! And he could play just like Clapton or Hendrix or anyone without blinking an eye just for fun, all on that rotted-out guitar. Clapton's "Blackie" was a Frankenstein he put together from bits and pieces he picked up over the years.

I find it rather interesting that a company such as gibson would pay tribute to a copy or replica of their own guitar by recreating it as a Gibson Slash signature series, in essence they are honouring a replica.
