It's a March '56 Strat, but very much like a '55. It has a soft V neck, ash body and bakelite parts and weighs a little shy of 7 lbs. It took me about 2 years to find THE ONE. My dream was a '57 Strat, because that was somehow the cool year for a maple neck Start back then. That was before the Fender Custom Shop came up with the '56 NOS, Closet Classic and Relic. However through my search for the right one, I always found late '55s and '56 Strats to be the best feeling, I didn't like the sharp V of the '57s, and most important best sounding maple neck Strats. So I ended up with this '56. I own it since almost 15 years now.
