This is my 1956 Stratocaster and Tremolux, both are made in March of '56.

WOW! I love both of them!!!
You're very fortunate,I just wish I had bought older Fender Strats and amps years ago instead of the things I did buy...what I did have,I don't anymore.

Thanks for your nice comments!
I really like that ad from March 1956. Thanks for posting.

What's really amazing is the quality of the components Fender was using in the 50's. Look at the inside of the Tremolux, nothing got changed besides the tubes. Everything is still working strong. Leo and his team did it right back then.

Wow :!: What more can be said, nice set...and yep Leo and the boys (and girls) did build them right back in the day...bet you didn't see amps coming back for bad solders, or non grounded power chords. etc...

Wow. Nice retirement fund!! Not that you'd ever want to sell them!!

The amp in particular looks like it's got some stories to tell!

I don't think I will ever sell them. I own both since many years. The Strat came from the original owner, a country player. He was a good player, always played sitting on a chair. He said he hated to stand up and playing guitar. The back of the Strat shows it.

Here is a picture including case and case candy. Even an old box of Fender strings.

Yes, the '56 Tremolux (5E9-A) is T-Bone Burnett's favorite Tweed amp as well.
