Post subject: strat size p90's

hello,i have started my first build.i have a 2010 amer std body.i'm going to try a set of pete biltoft's strat size single coil p90's.pete told me they are shielded.has any body tried single coil p90's?do you think i will need to shield the cavity's?as i said this is my first build,i watched a couple of video's on youtube on shielding strats,looks like a pain.is it really necessary?i know p90's on a gibson tend to hum.thanks. i,m having trouble putting up pics but i'll try http://s1119.photobucket.com/albums/k63 ... According to his site :

"Grounded shielding surrounding the coil effectively reduces noise from external electric fields"

The difference between reduces and eliminates can be quite a difference, but if you chose them, you must be aware of this.

These P90s won't need shielding and they sound quite good.
