Could you give me some information on this Wiring, and how it works sound quailty wise. You see I want a strat that is like my SRV in that it doesn't have locking heads ect, but I don't want it to be a lesser guitar because of pickups. I know the American Deluxe have a better pickup but as for the American Std. Im not sure how to commuincate this properly. Would the American Std be the guitar that (when the only choice were blonde or rosewood neck ) a normal player would play? How does it compare to an American Vintage, or is the difference being a modern interpretation with the same quality in pickups type thing, sorry im not to good at communicating myself.

First place to start is here on the website in the products section and look at all the Stratocasters which fit the 'appearance' criteria you are interested in. Read the specs on each, and then pose your questions. Those of us here may then be able to help you narrow down your choice.

Additionally, you should look at the Custom Shop versions of some of the guitars. Whether or not they fall within your price point the features and specs are what you are interested in. You must remember that the Stratocaster has gone through dozens of reincarnations since 1954. Another source of familiarization with this would be one or more of the several books on the subject, so that you understand the changes in design with respect to body contours, routings, neck profiles, head stocks, tremolo block and bridge designs, tuning keys, lettering, electronics and on, and on, and on. Then come back here and ask.

Good luck!
