Hi everyone, I'd just like to share an idea with you all and get some opinions. I have a 2008 MIM HSS strat, and I must say, I am very happy with it. Despite what anyone says about Mexican Fenders, this one plays like a dream. To further it's playing ability, I am going to be changing out the stock pickups, and replacing them with 3 Klein S-5 scooped mid pickups, and converting the pickup configuration to SSS, to get a true strat vibe. I also plan on changing the pickguard/pickup covers/tremolo cover/knobs to an antique white, to give it a more vintage vibe. Lastly, I am going to replace the stock tuners with mother of pearl/chrome Gotoh style tuners. I think they would look very classy on this guitar, as it is finished in a beautiful lake placid blue. Any thoughts?

A lot of Chris's stuff is highly regarded.

Good luck!
