So I sadly parted ways with a lot of guitars since I last made a post here. But, I can honestly say that I had never dreamed that I could wind up with two great guitars like the two I own now and I don't think I'll be looking back very much.

My newest Fender started life as a '60s Road Worn guitar, so every part was made by Fender. But, when this guitar was overhauled someone went the extra mile and sweated the details on a lot of small stuff. It was refinished in an excellently aged Daphne Blue nitro color (it doesn't show in the pics, but it is checked quite nicely) and the neck was completely redone in nitro as well. The frets are also brand new and the fretboard was planed to get rid of the annoying rise in the fretboard starting at the first fret and to ensure that there are not any dead frets like I've seen other Road Worns have. The headstock was reshaped to a more vintage correct shape and a new, raised '64/'65-style decal was added.

Owning a Custom Color '65 Strat has been my dream guitar for a long time now and this ... this comes very close given what extra money I have.





This guitar set me back a grand total of $850. Well worth it if you ask me.

It also contrasts the SG nicely as well.
