I just bought a Fender Standard Strat made in Mexico, and I want to know if it is possible to set the bridge straight. The bridge is the standard one.
I was trying some bends, and I realized that the guitar was getting out of tune.

Thank you for your time if you are going to answer me.

I trust that you mean that you want your bridge non floating.First you loosen the 6 screws on top of the bridge and back off about 1/8".Then loosen your strings and remove your plastic back plate. Then gradually tighten the screws holding the string claw an equal number of turns at a time and tune to correct pitch then do a few riffs where you bend the strings while the 6th E string is droning. You may have to do this a couple of times before the 6th string stays in key while you bend the others. When you have this set up the way you're satisfied with it tighten the 6 bridge screws 'til just touching the bridge plate and reinstall the back plate if you wish.
With this set up you'll still be able to use the vibrato but won't be able to pull back on it-which is the way I have all mine set up.Make sure that there aren't too many winds around the string posts-2are plenty,or that the strings sre binding in the nut slots or on the bridge-Just use a pencil lead in the slots and on the bridge to lubricate these areas.Make sure that you change your strings one at a time and stretch each string as you get it to pitch until it stays in tune after bending notes on that string.

Thank you very much.

I was told to do exactly what you say, just don't to loosen the 6 screws on top of the bridge, is there a huge or problematic difference?

If you don't loosen the screws on top of the bridge there's a chance that when you tighten up the spring claw the extra tension will pull the screws up out of the wood in the bridge or strip them out.

You're quite welcome,it's all part of being one big happy family of Fender Fanatics.I do like the free guitar idea though,a Masterbuilt or Custom Shop '65 would do me fine lol.
