Your talking about the "Lenny" right??? Their so new I haven't seen one yet, much less get to play one. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and trust Fender and say that it is a great guitar. $1700 bucks? sounds reasonable. I say go for it.

I'm sure Fender did it right. Plus, those Deluxes will go with anything, great amp.

Lenny costs 17 thousand USD, so I think he's talking about the Artist Series start.

I have played the SRV model and I loved the sound on it. The neck is a little big for me so I decided not to buy. 1700 taxes in sounds about right(I'm from Canada as well). I have seen them selling for about $1550 plus taxes which puts you just over $1700. I say go for it if you like it, its a beautiful guitar. I just bought a set of Texas Special pick ups to dump into my Hwy 1, while I wait for my 65 Custom Shop Closet Classic to come in.

I don't think you will be dissapointed with it, just put the time into playing it before hand to make sure its what you really want. It is a lot of money.

I believe you mean $17,000.00. A guitar Fender is going to make only 400 something of ain't gonna cost $1,700.00.

Yeah, the Lenny is a $17,000 axe. Doesn't make sense to me.

Oh ok...You said "new SRV guitar", I thought you were talking about the Lenny. The original SRV guitar is not new at all. I also forgot to take into consideration the price of Lenny.

However, the "old" SRV signature is a great guitar. I love it. I just wish I had the scratch to own one.

As far as Lenny goes, the 400 people that will own one are crazy as hell in my opinion.

I have recently told myself that I am going to buy a Stevie Ray signature as soon as I can afford it, but I think that I'm gonna do what Mayer did and put a tortise shell guard on it. My initials aren't SRV!
