I am ordering Fender Masterbuilt and I have some questions for you guys who already have masterbuilts...

First is.. I hate relic guitars and I was wondering if I can order it without relic process.

Can I???

Second, Fenders have 21 frets... Is it possible to order it with 22frets?
I mean I am ok with 21 but I just have that obsession.... you know after owning Gibson Les Paul,
It's just that I am afraid that I won't get used to 21 frets...

Third, There are many masterbuilders... who did you get and are they all different in terms of products they produce?

Four, How is quality of a masterbuilt fender? Does the quality live up to their reputation?

Five, I was thinking of ordering it on Proguitarshop.com.... Is it a good trustworthy place to order one?

Thank you very much

You can get anything you want from the Custom Shop. You need to post this in the Custom shop section, you will get all the answers you need and then some.

Nah, the answer will be that you have to go to a shop where they are able to deal with such requests. All these "can I ...." questions won't really find an answer until you put them into a real order.

Whatever can be done, will be done. If you have the cash.

Cheers

David

Welcome to the forum Moonlightfish.

I am pretty sure that you can order NOS finish on anything. 22 frets is also standard fender neck. All they do is extend the fretboard by one fret. The neck length is standard underneath.

Some master builders are requested based on the specific artist model. If you are doing a unique your own design, just pick the builder with the quickest turn around time. All these guys are pretty good at what are they doing (my opinion based on various models that I played).

Quality of MB CS guitars is the best. You have to understand that when you speak quality, it is considered as attention to detail finish quality. Hardware, electronic and a hard case is the same as high end production geetars for the 1/3 of the price. You will be in 1:1 relationship with the builder so I don't see an issue with your finished idea (when and if you are ready to order)

I don't own a master built or CS guitar for that matter, for reasons of my own and they don't include the price.

No idea about proguitar peeps....

For more opinions and perhaps answers have a look in the CS part of forum (ask ME, etc).

Let's hear this. Where do you live?

Now I'm curious.

Cheers

My suggestion is

http://www.wildwoodguitars.com/electric ... tom_strat/

You can order here directly one of the already built guitars from $3500-20000 or place an order. I never dealt with these guys, they are well known. Search also for closest CS dealer in your area from the CS site.
