Ok one more time.
I used this link myself so I know it will access my MM Start pics.
Let me know if this works and what you think.

Thanks

Thanks I think I like that one better out of the two as well.
I bought the black one first and changed the pick guard to the pearl one for a more old school look.
The blue one was still sitting in the store a couple of days later so I decided to count all the spare change I had been squirlling away the little and fun I had enough to get it so I did.
Everytime I look at the blue one it reminds me of a classic 57 Corvette that I had seen in a similar color. I just had to have it.
As far as the photos go as long as I post the image link within one of my postings it wii appear within this board?

Thanks that's what I thought.
The little music shop in my neighborhood had them for only two days when I bought the black one. After telling my Wife about the blue one she said she would have bought the blu one over the black and that really got me to thinking.
They were asking the same price for each at $300 per so I really began to think about the blue one I left behind.
I called a couple of dats later and it was still there so I fugue that it must mean I should have it and that was that.

In the Fender color chart it's called ice blue metallic
When I talked to the guy at the music store on the phone and he told me he had a black one and a blue one I automatically thought I'd get the black one because who would want a blue one but when I saw it and the more I thought about it after purchasing the black one I knew I had to have the blue on as well.
Guess I'm hooked.

"Negative, Ghostrider -- that's a no-go on Ice Blue Metallic."

That color is/was reserved for MIA AVRI instruments and selected Custom Shop relic re-issues.

MIM guitars got a similar color called "Agave Blue" which (regrettably) was discontinued a few years back.

Thanks for setting me straight.
Shows how much the guy at the music store knew as he was the one who told me it was ice blue metallic
so agave blue is no more but ice blue metallic is?
I kind of like the fact that it's no longer available.
According to the serial number that Strat was from 2001/2002
I'd like to see the difference between the two colors

Ice Blue Metallic is a skosh lighter, going by the printed color chips in the 2001 Frontline. I'm not certain when Agave Blue was discontinued but I bought my brother a new MIM Standard Strat finished in that color back in '06 from a shop in Las Vegas. Those two blues are spectrally very similar.

This post is now sounding just like our last corvette outing...debating colors and which years which colors were available. Now if you guys just start talking about whether its the original color and if its laquer or base coat clear coat (or polyerethane vs laquer if you will) will really feel right at home

Either way sure is a nice color. 8)

I thought it looked like Ice Blue. There was a CS Ice Blue with silver pick guard on ebay I was lusting after but didn't want to pay the big bucks he was asking. The Agave Blue is a nice alternate. Enjoy.

I don't care what color they call it I really like the way it looks.
I do like the fact that the color is no longer available if it's agave blue.

+1!

I've always been a sucker for metallic blue on a Strat -- pretty much any metallic blue.
