Your problem is so unusual as to have nothing to do with FMIC.

And Retroverbial deserves more respect. He's well informed and a cool guy.

perhaps you should go and jack him off?

After that remark I wouldn't expect much more help from anyone. Not from me anyway.

perhaps you should go and jack him off?

and you're right, he has a master degree in rust, and moisture in case analysis

and without asking any real information of me, he had blamed this entirely on me and my stupidity

i guess i must have pissed on my humbucker when i was drunk or something

ps mistakes do happen during manufacture, numpty, i also know for a fact outlets such as thomann check the guitar and polish them up after recieving them from the supplier.

there are lots of things that can go wrong, but your blinkered god, drew all his breath and blamed me unashamedly.

i don't respect the guy, no one so closed minded deserves respect in my opinion :)

I think it is time for the moderators to lock this thread. Your post has been reported.

 sorry, im just sick of people defending things due to not having a problem themselves.

i've had decades of great use of fender products, however this guitar seems to be a little knackered (for whatever reason).

it is no slight on a company if the produce the odd dud, look at electronics manufacturers, they must lose millions in returns.

however, to dump the blame on a consumer without even trying to gather information is a little crass, and frankly, im not in the mood for being treated unfairly.

This is getting old and boring. I'm not sure what you expect to accomplish at this point but I doubt it has anything to do with your guitar. Stomping your feet up and down and saying you're being treated unfairly is more than a bit juvenile. I usually stay out of these kinds of threads, but I supported you earlier. My bad.

im not stomping my feet up and down, far from it. i have extended my legs gracefully out and let them flap up and down in a movement as natural and slow as water. or whatever bs that makes equivelent nonsence.

i asked if anyone had the same problem as me on this forum - mybad indeed

Hi lonetraider,

Has anyone thought about a possible warranty repair/replacement pickup? You could at least contact the store where you bought it and/or contact Fender about it. Couldn't hurt to ask.

Ease up mang! I did the same bone-headed thing that you are doing on this thread, when I first joined the forum. I somehow managed to take offense to posts, instead of at least considering the input offered by long time, well respected forum members. I still regret it, but time passed and I've learned just how brilliant many of the forum members really are. Retroverbial is definitely an upperclassman here, and if he answers a post, his answer deserves serious consideration.

BTW, if you make a bone-headed mistake, that doesn't mean that you are a bone-head. We all make mistakes. (Peace, Love, Joy?) :)

More pictures, less bad language. Might get you some place.

Those pole pieces look strange. I wouldn't call that rust. And what about the pole piece in the far back being a bit more silver coloured than the others? Was that the one you tried to get the rust off of? Let's see pics of the whole guitar, the headstock, the frets, the bridge (saddles!! they are prone to rust in some instances), and if you can, take off the back plate and photograph the trem springs and inside. This little pic of yours doesn't really say anything:

======================================
why?

i have already said the rest of the guitar except a the frets closest to the body is in perfect condition. i tried taking a picture of the frets but you cant really make out the reaction.

like i've already said, it looks like a chemical reaction.

i haven't used anything to clean the guitar with except a cloth

actually typing this i just had a brainwave:

perhaps due to the swirling marks over the body paintwork, thomann tried using something to remove the marks before sending it out. perhaps whatever they used has reacted with the pole peices and some of the frets closest to the body.

just a thought.

thomann were aware of the swirls, they phoned me and gave me a discount.

Why? because having more data is the first step to solving a mystery.
If you don't give us more info, how are we supposed to help you?
It seems that problem is not one with other guitarists, since no-one here has mentioned that they experienced the same.
SO it must be something special. And since we're all keen to learn new things and solve puzzles, we need more data. Simple as that.

Otherwise I have nothing to say on this thread that will make anyone happy. Good luck to you.

Cheers

Nutter
