Hello,

Sorry to bother, but I intend to buy a used Fender Stratocaster and I would like know more information about it. It is a American Standard model, serial number: US10101011.
The guitar is black, with a rosewood fretboard. The pickup configuration is S-S-S.
Can you help me to confirm is it not a counterfeit ?
Also, if you can provide any other information on it, such as body wood, exact pickups model and such, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Luciana

That type of US serial number is legit. It's a pretty cool number, what with all of the ones and zeros.

One of my guitars has a serial number that starts with 666 ... great for Iron Maiden tunes.

Yep, Fender started using the "US10" prefix on the serial numbers of USA models about May of last year (and from January through about April they just used a "10" on the USA models).

Without seeing photos, it sounds like you've got an American Standard, so all the specs are going to be the same as what is found on Fender's website - i.e. alder body, "American Standard" pickups, etc.
