I guess thejakeludwig know a lot more then most of us. I wasnt aware of the RED paint ressonating better into the strat body. I guess I´ll send my strat to a new paint job after that.
I bet thejakeludwig removes all back plates from his strats too for a tonewise guitar. :P
Let me recommend you some vintage screws for it, buy screws from 1954-1959, and install them, you´ll feel a much better tone.

Wow ppl here are way too sensitive. Sorry, I wasn't "bashing" anyones gear. I just express my personal opinions on things. If it doesn't say "Fender" on the headstock I don't bother playing it!!! Fender Rocks and They make great guitars. If I had to choose one of that bunch I'd pick the red one. I find that red guitars seem to have more bass though. Peace

Whoah! This thread took a crazy turn...

haha...my stuff is cheap but I don't care... finally got my 43 year old ampeg rocketreverb back from the shop (after three months)

My pride and joy is my 2008 Am Std. hss Strat (nicknamed Layla), but I feel humble in the fact that there's hundreds of forumites who own custom shops, deluxes, etc. (which makes this forum a quite humbling experience). I wouldn't feel right bashing other's equipment.

God only knows that I can't afford anything right now, and its nearly a blessing to have the gear I have...

My two cents worth...

Nice family you have there! Are you a violin player? That's one of my favorite instruments.

Here's my little guitar collection for you to critique. None of them are stock. Bet you can't guess what they even are. I'll give you a hint: three of them are red and one isn't.

Yes,.. but that is an endeavor in itself as I'm still learning even after 5 years.
I must admit that most of the wild life has finally returned within a mile radius of my house...

That Ampeg has been through a lot these past 3 months, so I'm glad to have her back (though the tremelo still doesn't work... )

Jake you are a barrel of laughs. You come on the forum and dump on someone's gear in an unprovoked attack then when your repeated insulting posts are commented on you accuse people of cyber-bullying.You brought all this on yourself bucko now if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.I've had my fill of your childish petulance, now please take your poisonous attitude somewhere else because you have not made a single positive contribution to the forum in fact you've done quite the opposite by provoking other forum members who come on here for sensible discussion.

Ok thejakeludwig stand up and admit your mistakes and just move on. You were bashing someones gear and other people didn't like it, BOTTOM LINE. Quit provoking members on here and you wouldn't have this problem. You may not have meant to come across harsh but you did so admit it.
