Hi Paris,I love the 2 tone burst and grain on mine too.The Ser.# is Z3216603.I was thinking about swapping the pickguard on mine too but it's because it's autographed by Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives and I want to save it.I'm also thinking of disabling the tone control from the bridge pup so it with perform like my '65 Strat.

BTW way Jake I believe the time is long overdue that you either prove that you're not the poseur that most except the incredibly naive think you are or take a hike .Either that or live the rest of your life being branded as a B/Sing Mawmouth. So come on... Where's the beef er gear?Oh yes, keep in mind that we're too sharp eyed not to spot pages Photoshopped from Frontline or Gibson/Epiphone etc. catalogues.

Cool collection '53Mag.,I'd post pix of mine but since I posted pix of a lot of my collection just last week that would be a bit redundant.Anyway I don't have the time as I have to fly off to the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in my private 747 as there were a couple of Deusenburgs and some classic Packard Dual Cowl Phaetons that I'm intent on taking home with me then it's off to George Gruhn's in Nashville to pick up a couple of mint '54 Strats and 3 '59 lemon burst Les Pauls then off to Norman's Rare guitars for a few D'Aquistos and maybe a Fleta or 2.It's going to be a busy 12 hours.

Hey guitslinger, when you go to Gruhn's would you mind picking up my PreWar Martin D-28,and SRV's Vibroverb they have waiting for me?
I'm going to be hanging out with Gregg Allman....he's still trying to get me to join the Allman Brothers Band....and I just can't find the time to drive the 45 miles to Nashville.

For that you need lay-away? That's just plain sad. I've lost all my respect for you now.

How beautiful, and how very Tap of you to keep the tag on there! (for those who don't know what I'm talking about: Check the Strat from 1:01!

Ah. Very nice indeed. I am very grateful we're allowed to look at it! ;-)

Cheers

SO come on then Jake, show us your gear.

Frankly, no offence, but It isn't anyones business of what I have and I'm not obligated to disclose anything unless I want to. YAWN

What a load of old tosh. You rag on some fellah's gear but refuse to disclose your own.

Smells fishy to me.

Guess that shows the measure of the man eh lads?
For everyone else, heres the gang, mostly.

The wooden one (top left) is now a black one. I gave the ESP away. The acoustic and my Dinky aren't there either.

I really don't know what you mean by that comment, but the volume control does go to 11. Actually, Bonnie stays as is. I bought her in Slidell, LA in 2005 at the shop where I got my first guitar. She had been sitting there for 9 years waiting on me, dead mint. I had been wanting a blue guitar and never found one to my liking. My Mom passed in '05 and we were there touching base w/ friends & family. I kinda look at Bonnie as a "gift" from Mom. It's my favorite guitar.

ps: Thanks for the clip, I haven't seen it in years. The sad thing is that it does have the original strings, shop price card and the case still has the blue plastic film on the case latches. Maybe I'm related to Nigel?

Thanks, it's a '96 Bonnie Raitt sig (the finish is known as "Desert Sunset"). I guess I'll take their word for it, never hung in the desert. :D
