:?

Given that the decals they use will be printed in huge numbers I'd be amazed if Fender would print off a mis-spelt label for one of the companies most famous and iconic products!!! Maybe they had a work experience boy in that day?

You did buy it from a proper dealer and not some dodgy bloke in a sheepskin coat in a dark car park?

From a future value view, personally I'd be looking for a discounted price on a guitar that has mis-spelt decals!! As long as you like it that's the important thing, it makes it pretty unique! 8)

So much for Fenders MIM quality control...this is pretty shocking considering. Nice guitar though, and Deluxe Dan is correct, maybe you should go back and ask for a discount since they spelled it wrong

Cool ... 8) Are you kidding... :?: :?:

That is great, this makes your guitar with an unusual discrepancy which can be a plus.
If indeed it is original than I would chuckle.

If you look back into vintage guitars, there are a few that escaped the QC and left the factory with minor cosmetic discrepancies. That today has made them more valuable just because it was a fluke and now gives them that uniqueness.

You do not have a problem, but I would get all the provenance for that guitar that you can to prove that it is indeed a genuine factory mishap

That actually looks like the photos have been altered, rather than simply a misspelled label. Notice that the A doesn't line up with the rest of the letters. In the first picture the A is higher than the others, and in the last picture the A is lower than the others and off to one side. And if you zoom in a little on the full front view, you can just make out an O in the Strat-O-caster on the headstock decal.

Not funny at all. Especially considering the eagerness to wrongly fault quality control.

Indeed.

As phony as a seven-dollar bill!

I've seen better Photoshop work from pre-schoolers.

Wow! Examined my pictures closely and I just "found" one that is a factory misspelling too! A Strat-Coaster, cool. 8)

Wonder what it is worth.
