I have been thinking about having Nash customs build this guitar for me..I would prefer it to be a Fender CS build but i'm not sure if they would do it..
Here is what i'm wanting..
I would like a neck through Stratocaster with neck and Body made of Mahogany with a Ebony fret board..I would like to use vintage tremolo and tuners along with twin Seymour Duncan Pearly gate humbuckers..
Nash gave a rough estimate of $2400 so i'm not sure if the Fender CS shop would even be able to come remotely close to that price or even be interested in doing the build..

only one way to find out, contact a custom shop authorized dealer and see what they say

There was a CS Strat with a fixed neck and ebony fret board on ebay about a month ago. I think it had a flame maple body, but it sounds like you could get it done your way. Not sure if you'd have to leave a blank check or not.

Everything about this guitar seems completely doable. I eould ask Mike Eldred, but I'd bet he'd say the same thing.

the vacuum store is a lot like the guitar store. but they do not attract the same clientele as the guitar store, cause if they did, the vacuum store would be loaded with a bunch of broke guys who just wanted to run the new vacuums.

I think the mahogany neck will give you tuning problems like an SG.

If the neck to body area is as weak as SG's..... " Yes " but not if there is needed reinforcement at that juncture.
I have had a neck thru body mahogany guitar for over 20 years. I have only tweaked the truss rod once.

Blaming mahogany is not accurate, it is the build design of the guitar, which in most SG's has always been a major complaint.

As far as Nash Custom Guitars, you get what you pay for.
Read the No.5 Spring 2007 issue of "The Fretboard Journal"
The article describes Nash as a relicing process.
read and draw your own conclusions...

For a truly Custom guitar as you posted....Fender Custom Shop is the 1st place to inquire.
You will spend a lot, but if possible then it will be a genuine Fender Custom Shop.
For this I do not feel Nash has the experience and CV to be able to deliver a comparable product to the Custom Shop.
You have to shop around to Custom builders, ( could inquire at Tom Anderson ) because of the neck thru design, this guitar demands to be created from stock, by real luthiers, not tech's throwing together parts.

Excuse me for seeming overly critical but, when laying out this amount of cash and wait time, then the only option is to find the best shop for the project.

Good luck in your search and be critical because when all is said and done, you are the one that will pay for it and second class does not cut it.
