I am to understand that AS bridges have the vintage wide spaced 6 screw base (2 7/32") , and a narrow 2 1/16 string spacing?

Thanks,

I am looking for a bridge to fit my Deluxe Player body that has such a screw spacing with my american Standard neck which needs the narrower spacing.

Right off the top of my head I think Callaham has that model. It' called the V/N model. http://www.callahamguitars.com/partsstr.htm#bridges its the second one down in the link. I hope this helps ya. Also, you may be able to use a MIA base plate and MIM saddles , although I havent tried that yet, But it would cost less.

If you float your bridge the Callaham top plate won't work for you. He spaces the six mount hole screws farther from the sustain block screws than Fender and the result is that you cannot dive the whammy very far before the block bottoms out. If you deck your bridge it won't matter. His saddles, block and trem bars are nice. I have them in both my strats.
