Is there a way to figure out which model a guitar is based on a serial #? I am looking at a used telecaster and the seller is calling it a 72' reissue, but it doesn't have a humbucker installed. I questioned whether they have the right description, and they weren't sure. They gave me the serial #, but I don't know how to match it. Any suggestions:

The serial # is : MZ2189676

Thanks!

I just love it when a seller knows less about what they're selling than the buyer does. It used to mean that you might (but not always) get a bargain. Nowadays, I'm not so sure. Caveat Emptor!
