SOLID!

I'm wondering how they will do. I got the Callaham blocks in mine and it makes a difference in my MIM strats.

alanssaab,

I think that most links like that are OK, as long as you aren't selling something.

Hi Alan: I'm always interested to see what the local talent is up to, and last time this was discussed I couldn't locate the gentleman in question. (I admit I didn't try very hard...)

So post away, please! :D

Cheers - C

I have had one of these for a week.
It looks and feels well made, and well worth the money.
I have to decide which guitar gets it, the Roadworn 62 or the MIJ 60s reissue.

Decisions, decisions.

Interesting - thank you for the link.

So essentially the same product as Callaham's blocks but for less than two-thirds the price, and with the option to have a block custom made to any specs and screw spacing. That last is the most useful bit: people sometimes find that aftermarket bridge blocks don't quite fit their existing plate, so made-to-order is an excellent service.

Now I almost wish I had a bridge that needed a replacement block!

I wonder if the gent will get into the aftermarket block-saddles market next? One to watch...

Cheers - C

I'm with you on your train of thought here, Ceri. The guy obviously is building a
good client/customer base and may be in the R&D phase of something else?

One to watch indeed!

i got the block fitted the other day , not had much chance to play till last night and first impressions are excellent , loads more sustain than the stock block and the guitar sings much more and also has added quack (which is nice 8) ) playing something like zoot allures with the stock pups and block sounded too distorted and undefined , i changed the pups to a mia set , it sounded better but still not up to par (as the mij with iron gear texas loco pups) but since fitting the welsh block it sounds as it should (to my ears anyway) and for the price of £27.50 i'll be getting one for the mij strat in the near future , cheers
Alan

I have just fitted one to my MIJ 62 re-issue.
Fits perfectly.
I can't comment on any 'improvements' yet, as I had to fit new strings which obviously have quite a sonic effect. Time will tell.

I have also ordered two more, one for my Roadworn, and one for my Classic Player 60s.

Kevin has been most helpful ensuring that I get the correct ones.

I highly recommend this guy.

He seems to have sold quite a few over the last week.
