Hi, anyone out there own a lite ash strat - whats the general opinion. I couldn't care less where it's made, the fact it seems to have a great set of pickups on it is great, but what about playability and overall sounds etc?

Since what you are dealing with is just opinion, I would suggest you check this site out and find your own. This is a great site for finding out what woods have what tones

Hope that helps

I have a Deluxe Players strat which is ash and is lite. but on the site it only has Swamp Ash. But I like the Ash alot with the Vintage Noiseless pups.

i bought a lite ash strat last year and i think it's a great value for the money--great neck on it that's very playable and the duncan p/u's sound terrific. i mostly play blues music and this guitar has alot of bite, so i'd definitely recommend it if money is an issue. otherwise, there are strats that i prefer--i have a '57 reissue and one that was custom built, but i put alot more money into them then the lite ash. overall, i'd say go for it if it feels and sounds good to you, but as with all guitars, i'd be sure to play it first.

I love my ash strat. Tone is fine. Playability is always up to the setup. They have a classic look, to me.
