What do you guys think? Of these five nuts, which do you think is the best one to put on a scalloped Strat neck with locking tuners, tremsetter and Ferra-Slide saddles? Also keep in mind that I want to keep that nice tone going.

Bone
Delrin
Brass
LSR-Roller
Graphite

Recently, my nut cracked in my 60's RI MIM Strat (surprise, surprise), now this is actually a great sounding strat, and it has its advantages compared to my 08 American. But I can get that nice bluesey glassy tone out of it that the American can't quite touch. So, I too, have the same dilemma. I have a crack right down the G-string groove. So, basically the string's lying right on the fretboard. I'm thinking Bone. Eric Clapton uses bone, so did SRV. So, I'm guessing it can't hurt tone-wise. So, thats what I'm leaning towards, but you can pay a pretty penny from what I've researched...

Check out a company called Graphtech. That is one of the best nuts I have ever used. I have switched from bone to the Graphtech nut and other than my guitar staying in tune (even after dive bombing a lot) It still maintains the sound.

I would say it is a toss up between Bone and a Graphtech (Graphite) nut.
There might be a slight tonal difference.

Yes, they make your guitar sound tinny as well as causing you to cut out alot of wood. Once you have done that, there is no going back. So I would suggest playing one with it first to see if you like that type of soundl.
