He has it listed as a 2002 Am Standard but I don't think so. The bridge has 6 screws and the neck plate is wrong. RIGHT????

Only since about July 2006; they had the same headstock as the American Series from 2002 through about June 2006 (except they had the 2 string trees).

Definitely not an American Series (because to be correct the 2002 Fender was called the "American Series"; it replaced the original "American Standard" model in July 2000, and was itself replaced by the current "American Standard" in January 2008).

I'll agree with tbazzone - early Highway 1, just not a very attractive color (also bad photos).

If you look closely at the serial number you can see the last few digits have been added. They don't look like the first few. He knows its not real. He won't respond to my questions.

The guitar looks fine to me its just a Hwy 1 not a Am standard. The s/n looks ok. It is an Am guitar.

If you enlarge the picture of the back of the headstock, the last 5 digits are bolder than the first few and the 5 and the 2 are out of line with the rest.

actually, pre 2005 and half of 06 prior to the "upgrade",
they had small headstocks, but 2 string trees.

sorry for double post if someone else has posted this.

Its an early highway one, nothing unusual about the serial number, I've seen that on other legit guitars before. Also no fake I have ever seen gets the walnut headstock plug right or the correct string trees
