I've got the Little '59 in the bridge of my Tele. I really like it. Its hot, good for distortion etc. I always used the bridge pickup when gigging. It just has a more rocking edge than the neck. I've had it in there so long that I don't even remember what the original pick up sounded like.

I have a lil'59 in the bridge of one of my Strats. Great pickup. For distortion/heavy overdrive you can't beat a move to a humbucker, maybe for a solo or something. I haven't taken advantage of it, but the lil'59 has 2 more wires which would allow you to split the coil if you want to keep a single coil option at the bridge.

Setting one of the tone pots to the bridge is a good idea if you have a humbucker there.
