Just to let the Forum know that Fender have shipped a replacement tuner to me and all OK. Many thanks to all who gave advise and also to Fender UK and Danny at DV247.

Wow sorry to hear that I ca. Only imagine how frustrating it must be and how hard it would be to go without your Strat.
I can honestly say I have only had good experiences with Fender customer service.
