I'm thinking about purchasing an SRV strat, but how would I change the pickguard to a tortoise shell pickguard? Would I just unscrew everything and put on the new pickguard? Answers greatly appreciated, thanks!

I was also going to suggest YouTube as a great source of info on changing pick guards (as well as lots of other guitar related info). nothing like a good video!
There are some really great sources on the web for custom & graphic pick guards so check them out for ideas too.

Make sure you get the correctly-configured pickguard for your guitar.

Nothing screams AMATEUR HACK JOB louder than the wrong part on an instrument.

The funny hack job is seeing an 11 hole pickguard on an 8 hole body ...
