I found a guy on Craigslist selling this guitar for 50 bucks. I'm no Fender expert, which means I'm definitely not a Squire expert. So can you tell if this is real from these photos?

Thanks!

Looks real to me. People generally don't counterfeit Squiers and sell em for $50. It's a good price. I see the knobs are missing. Is it in working order? Could be stolen or the seller just wants a quick sale. It's worth $50 for the parts imo.

Thanks guys! I got the seller down to $40 and bought it today. It actually feels really great in my hands. I plan to harvest it for parts though. Then I'll refinish the body and neck (with supplies I already have) and resell just them. My goal is to at least break even financially, but keep all of the hardware, pickups, tremolo, etc. for another build I'm doing with a Swamp Ash body and all maple neck.

I have a question. Since I'm going to refinish the neck, that means the decal that's on the headstock now will be removed. What it the best way to get and reapply a new decal?
