The SHS config on this guitar is very unusual.

Haven't played one but the patriotic side of me sure loves that paint job! And the hum in the middle, might be great for playing slide on :?:

Nice looking guitar.

Haven't heard or played one so I'll reserve judgement on that side. However I HATE the looks. I mean really badly. It looks like a toy or some misguided attempt at patriotism. And, no it's not because I'm British. If it had a Union Jack all over it I would still hate it. It looks tacky to me, and to be honest I don't think I could take someone seriously playing one. As a one off special for a show, or a museum or something it would be cool, but not as a serious guitar. (And I do understand that it's not Fenders design)

Sorry about the mini rant, but please believe me when I say it's not just because its American.

The idea behind this guitar wasn't to make a patriotic statement. It is to copy Wayne's original guitar he started using in the late sixties with the MC5. Haven't played one yet, but looks wise, I would say they got it right. Here is a couple of YouTube videos on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxdQLblo ... re=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SyBhgpy ... re=related

I bought one and it plays and sounds great!

Love the patriotic bling and relic job. Unlike lots of Road Worns these days, fret ends were smooth. I think the store I bought it from (online-ebay, also below MAP shhhhh) set it up and did some work on it, because the strat plays like buttah!

MC5, Wayne Kramer, this strat kicks out the mutha f'n jams!
