Ok, I tore this thing down today and I can't find any evidence of a partsocaster. Please check out the new photos I put up on photobucket and see if you agree with me. I'm wondering if this is a special or maybe some kind of highway 1.

Hey Justus,
That's a fine looking guitar, I like the maple fret board and I think it is the surf green. I'm not sure whether it is one or the other, I'm not even sure what mine is at this point. I'm hoping some one can tell me what model it is.

Do you just write customer service a letter? Or do you call them up. I would send them a stamped envelope if they could send me that kind of information. That was great. Thanks

Hi RoadKing: gosh, well I'm so glad I put the bit about being "happy to be corrected" in my first post!

Far as I was aware the small headstock meant it couldn't be a HWY1 at that point in history - so that just shows the limitations of doing detective work from photos on a website, doesn't it?

Glad you got your answer.

Now. If only Fender's database was available to us all over the net... :D

Cheers - C

I never figured this to be a Highway one ether but you notice it's a FSR they will throw you every time.
