I have a Hwy 1 (2002). I recently switched gauge strings and had them put on with a new set up by a guitar tech. When I got it everything was great(glad I switched to .11's). But three weeks later I am now getting a buzzing sound when I play an open D and G string.

Any ideas? Anything I can do to fix it myself?

Thanks

It could be that the neck settled in a bit and the adjustment is in need of some fine tuning. You may want to check the neck by going up the finger board fret by fret until you find where the guitar actually frets out, meaning that there is no clear string tone at all, sometimes this can be due to a slightly raised fret, if when you continue the tone comes back then you may just need a slight fret dressing if not you may need to have your tech check his truss rod adjustment of maybe saddle hight adjustment or both, either way if you paid good money to a tech for labor on a set up then you should bring it back and show him the problem before you make any changes yourself. A solid guy tech would happily complete the job for you because that's what they do. And don't feel embarrassed if you need to go back more than once, sometimes these guys need a bit of time to see the neck settle in too.

Be patient and the neck will eventually come to you, it is definatly a processs.
