Hey, I just bought myself a second hand (duh) 1991 Strat Plus. Tis lovely :D, but I'm concerned about the tremolo arm: As the guitar is 16 years old, there was really no chance that the arm spring was gonna stay in there, so I need to get one of them as it's a little loose, but not majorly. However, when I put the arm in, it seems to be raised a fair bit higher than it should, and also, the "manual" says that you can leave the arm on when it's in the case by swinging it towards the jack - when I do that and try to close it, it applies quite a bit of pressure to the bridge! It'll close, but when opened it springs, like it's relived of alot of strain. Also, the arm seems to lean back, like the hole is angled diagonally towards the neck end of the body (does that make sense? it looks like / that, but not as extreme). It could be that I have the wrong arm: it has a thread at the tip as if it's meant to have a plastic tip, though I don't know if this model came with one.

So if I do need a new arm, anyone know what to get? Apparently on this model of Plus (3 gold laces) it has an american standard 2-point floating bridge, rather than a deluxe, but I don't know if the design is the same as the current bridges?!

Cheers for the help!
