For a beginner amp, try a Mustang 1 for $99. They have several presets that allow a beginner to simply turn a knob to dial in several different tones!

Great suggestion, Solid little amp, Solid State so there is less headaches, the clean sounds on '57 deluxe and '65 twin reverb are very convincing. I've played a couple of Champ 600 Duds lately, I'm not saying they are all that way, but the last one I had, had a rattle in the tube or speaker when turned up about halfway that was maddening. i ended up returning it. The Mustang 1 is the best $99.00 a beginner could spend. I have one and use it at home. Also a Marshall MG15FX for dirty tones. 8)

Please bruno, if you can I hardly recommend you go for a used Mexican Stratocaster. As I said before there´s a huge difference in craftmanship quality, feel and sound then the Squier you´re looking after. If you must go Squier route, at least go for the Classic Vibe Squier series, please.
I´ll recommend you another cheap Mexican Strat used:

Please consider this one for $199. Its a 50th anniversary edition.

Yeah, i see what your saying but its just that i m not comfortable buying stuff off ebay and the net in general and if i buy a guitar from a shop they won't keep used guitars. Moreover if you can recommend a guitar that you think is good under $200 then that would be great.

So please do this. Go to your nearest music stores and play some used mexicans...I´m pretty sure you´ll find a lot of them hanging for 200 bucks... then play a new squier, you´ll feel what I meant.

Start with a Mexican Strat not a Squier ,, you will be glad you did ,, i would increase your budget to about $300. for a used Mexi-Strat ,, has much better action and pickups over a Squier ,,,

Definitely not always the case. Action is due to a set-up not necessarily inherent in make/model. A well setup Squier will always have better action than a poorly or non setup MIM. The higher end Squiers also have arguably better pickups than the stock MIM ceramics ( Alnico III, V, and Ducan Designed Alnicos). Personally I would go with a used high End Squier or Used Japanese Squier over a MIM standard. But that is my opinion
