Its based off a strat/hybrid......but not sure how much I should let it go for? What's a fair price to get for her? The reason I ask is I have her for sale but every buyer either keeps dragging their feet or telling me its only worth about $100. I personally paid close to $900 with shipping when I bought this beauty about 3 years back. So what's a fair price to get for her in todays economy. Thanks for the help guys!

Custom Allparts USA Flame maple Strat

No Name Strat copies assembled from Parts suppliers are always difficult if not down right impossible to fix an ask price on.

It looks very nice, I'm hooked, I will add that if you do not need to sell it, keep it, if it plays well, sounds great, then why unload it, you will not recoup your initial expense, this is why I debate strongly with anyone that guitars are not Investment vehicles, unless one is fortunate to have an in demand vintage strat or tele or Les Paul from the 50's or up to 65. Or unless they are custom built by a renowned builder and are of a limited number 10 to 20 or less.

Nice guitar. I don't know what they are worth, but defiantly way more than the $100 that was offered.

Yea i figured I'd ask here so I can get a fair value for the guitar. I don't want to rip anyone off but I don't want to be ripped off myself. I do need to move her htough as I have about 17 guitars and need cash to restart college and pay off a credit card if i could. I know I have about 6 strats right now so this one doesn't get any playing time.

It is a very nice guitar but, as the the saying goes it is only worth what someone is willing to pay you for it. I'd say add up all the parts cost without shipping then cut about $25 off that price for every year you have had it since it doesn't have a "Name" to go with it.

I'm sure that isn't what you want to hear, but I think it would be about fair and reasonable. IMO

In that case keep it because this is the guitar that you will take a heavy loss trying to sell it.
It is very likely a much better instrument than some of your other guitars. On a list of 1 thru 17 this one would rank in the top 5 and not be in the For Sale list.

Good Luck

Well to be honest here's a list of guitars I own

Richie Sambora Paisley Strat-just got recently
Richie Sambora USA strat- just got recently
Fender USA Red Strat with Kahler Spyder Locking Trem- one of my fave
Fender USA Blue strat with 2 point trem- one of my fave
Warmoth Custom strat(Solid flame maple body in see through blue finish)- one of my fave
Custom All Parts strat(one shown here)- Great guitar but I don't love her over the other strats I have
Yamaha Hollowbody- My fave guitar neck period! This made in Japan baby is a great guitar and for the money is one of my fave to pickup and play. The neck is slim and perfect for picking hard classical chords, but also great for normal chord fingering for strumming.
Gibson USA Gothic Les Paul(1st version from 2001)- sits in the case alot, though it does havea great bluesy sound to it
Custom strat/Floyd Rose redmond guitar- Custom built for me and with my own designs incorporated. LOOOOVEEEE this guitar!!
Taylor 614ce- In blue finish. Definitely my fave acoustic!
USA Breedlove Northwest masterclass- Great guitar but another one that doesn't get play time.
Ibanez 12 string- another one that gets literally no playing time by me.

It does have a name to go with it, All Parts, which it says custom All Parts strat on the back of the headstock but you can't quite make out in the pics. But I do understand what you are saying as it isn't a legit Fender. It is USA made though and rivals fender strats in quality in my honest opinion. I don't expect to get back what I spent on her, but I would like to get her a home as you can tell I already have so many strats that this girl rarely gets played. I actually feel bad since it just sits there.

These "homebrew" guitars are truly hard to sell. Usually they are so personal, being that the owner / builder assembled the parts and chose the color he desired most. Kinda like selling a used tattoo ( which is impossible, I think ! ) LOL. That is a BEAUTIFUL guitar ! And I would be proud to own it myself......but $100, come on! That's a low ball if ever I seen one! I think, if the right person with similar taste to the builder was to come along, getting $500 should be fairly easy to do. :D You may get more if you find a person who falls in love with your guitar! I think not having a known brand name on the headstock scares people a little........

Steve-oh,

Yea I agree! I was a little peeved that the gentleman in question said I should only expect to get $100 at most and that was being generous. I think its worth at least $500. I mean the pickups might need changing depending on the persons preference, and I would change the trem as I'd rather have a wilkinson or fender 2 point in my opinion, but other than that its a well put together guitar and the finish is really clean. I really like the rear route to help prevent the cord getting snagged while running around/moving around on stage.

I seriously doubt you'll get more than 300.00 out of it. If you've got 900 in it, divide that number by half. That will be top dollar, but you can expect to subtract another 100-150 before you move it. Sad, but true. I'm pretty sure most of Allparts bodies and necks are made in Japan. Good luck with it, I hope you do get out of it what you feel is reasonable. So here's a bump for ya

Thanks for th info but I have already confirmed that Allparts is indeed USA made. The only thing is I was told in the early days you were able to have a custom built which this guitar does say AllParts custom on the back of the headstock. As for the amount I could get for it, I don't know myself. I do appreciate the honest opinion though. I figure maybe someone on the boards here might be interested in this beauty and make me an offer by pm for it. I rather someone play her than have the guitar sit around and not be used.

What's up with the neck? Is it really two pieces...a glued on headstock? I would think that a custom guitar is most likely going to be bought by someone that know guitars...woods, pickups, construction, etc., and that neck's a turn-off to anyone who's knowledgable.
