I'm trying to solve a mystery with my guitar. A while back, a thread was started by a fellow who purchased this same guitar, and was sold on it with the same information I was told. In a nutshell, this guitar was touted as a Gilmour-esque Strat with unique wiring to replicate Gilmour's tone on Dark Side of the Moon. Fender does not acknowledge this custom wiring, yet the retailer does, and to this day is selling the guitar under that pretence.

I made a youtube video earlier, demonstrating the guitar through all 5 switch positions. It was my first youtube video ever, so it's not great. Probably unnecessarily long too. At any rate, if you care to, give it a view and let me know if the 4th position sounds different to you than a "typical" production model AmStd Strat.
