All work and no play..... Makes the Big Hairy Folk desperate to start building Strats again..

Really trying to book some time off work so we meet up and go buy some timber (and I can dump that amp on you ) , but I'm limping from one disaster to the other at the mo.

When the time is right....

Hope your work (still in the Big Smoke?) is not as soul crushing as mine!

Cheers!

Andy (battered but not beaten! :D )

Yes you are good at the photo. Did you read the story about where it came from. They said it was a custom reisue but There isnt any paper work. I tracked down the serial number and its a 2001 or 2002. But it has never been played. Im hoping to find out more when I take it to the music shop that set it up. Thanks for helping me post the picture that was cool

No probs! :D

Not sure if I have much more to add other than you have an awesome looking guitar...

... Maybe some of the more knowledgeable forum users will chime in with regards to the custom colour.

Enjoy!

Great mixture of artefacts there, Justus! Swords, guitar, bunny.... but most importantly, tell us about that pickguard! Is that by any chance signed by someone you recently saw at the Rosegarden? 8)

I say another pic is in order! :D

Very nice guitar you have there! :)

@ Andy: yes I'm plodding onwards, yet not in the Big Smoke anymore, I can now walk to work, and though tedious, it is not (yet) entirely soul sucking, so I count my blessings, as they say. But your
suggestion sounds fine, I'm up for it when you are! :) keep up the good humour by whistling - it helps!

Cheers

Nutter

It appears this is a 2001 strat previously owned by a Fender exec. donated to this cause.

Herewith the commentary:
"The custom colored 2001 American Standard Stratocaster® guitar that will be presented to the raffle winner at the Blues for MS Concert came from the personal collection of a top Fender executive wanting to help the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Portland. Our friends at Tigard Music provided a professional fret dress and set up, so the winner can immediately play this beauty till the neighbors complain."
If pre-owned by one of their own execs, it must be a goodie!!

A beautiful axe ! :D
ENJOY ! 8)

The signed pick guard was signed by all the bands that were at the benefit, They signed a guard instead of the guitar . Im going to write Fender and get a build sheet or something so I can keep it with the guitar. Thanks for all the help in learning how to post.
