Ditto...Love the top on that soapbar. I've owned two PRS's...great guitars quality and tone wise, but I haven't found a neck carve in their line which pleases me. Enjoy!!

sure wish i could put my clapton soft V on those PRS guitars :!:

Exactly and precisely where I'm coming from. I bet PRS's Custom Shop will do that for you for a price. I haven't auditioned the necks on their new MIA single coils but I doubt they are anything like the Clapton or the VHR necks.

I have a Deluxe VG V-neck, a '57VHR, and an '89 Clapton. I favor those V-necks in the reverse order listed. Nothing I've played/owned in the PRS line gives me the same comfort, though I have no criticism of their guitars. I expect that my Gilmour has the 1983 '57 VRI C-neck which Phil Taylor had removed from the cream finish Strat of that vintage, and installed on the black guitar around 2005. That guitar had been rescued from the clutches of The Hard Rock Cafe in 1997, refurbished, and put back into action It's a tad slimmer than the "57VHR's, but comfortable. Then there's the fast 60's neck on my LP.

Hi Wyoming

The SE Tremonti has the "wide-fat" neck as does my SE Semi Hollow - However My US made EGII has a wide fat neck which is much wider and fatter. The 2 SE's fall between the EG and my CE22 which has a wide-thin neck - All are OK by me, though the CE22 is the fastest - all are "unpainted" necks and are coated with various thickneses of "clear". The CE22 feels almost bare.

I onced owned both a CE24 Bolt-in and a Johnny Hiland model. Both great guitars, but the necks never quite suited me.

Research shows that there is no cure for the gas attacks, but, the symptoms related to this condition can be eased by another guitar from time to time. You should not exceed the recommended dosage (stated by your wife) or it can cause lumps on the head and the lack of prepared meals.
