IMHO, I'd find a good qualified guitar tech (maybe a local mom & pop store) to do the job. It shouldn't be too expensive, I'm just not sure I'd want some kid at a Guitar Center attempting to do it. Again, just my $.02.

If, and I say IF, your adventurous, you could take that nut out and turn it around and put it back in. You just need to brace the neck of the guitar with something, like a folded up towel so it is supported well. Take a small hammer and tap directly on top the nut a few times. Then take a pick—a small strong but sharply pointed tool and work it under the nut and lift it out. Clean up the edges of the nut with some sandpaper and clean out any glue from the slot. Put 3 drops of super glue in the slot, and pop the nut in backwards and tap it into place so it lines up perfectly from side to side. I was amazed how easy this is. BUT if you do not feel comfortable....DON'T DO IT!

Welcome!

You should have a new nut cut for it. However, your best bet is to ask around for who is in fact, a COMPETENT tech in your area. Word of mouth is always your best source for referrals of this nature, both good and bad.
