Good stuff! Just what the forum needed. You can't beat an X man build thread.

I take it the "Mouse Ears" on the neck pocket (only recently learnt about those!) will allow a Tele neck?

Andy

Hey Andy, BIG snow storm here mate! These were taken out my window a few hrs ago! And it is still coming down like crazy. They say it will not stop for another 24 to 42 hrs! Kind of messing up my playing with guitars!

The MIJ Tele Neck fits perfect! Nice and snug, mouse ears and all. The pickguard will cover any small areas that might show (if there are any). I thought about my proposition to Mr. C, but then I thought about it and I really want the tremolo. Really if I wanted just a Tele-o-strat I could play one of my Fender MIJ DX Teles as they have two Strat pickups and Tele bridge pickup. I would like this guitar to be more of a Strat-o-tele instead of a Tele-o-strat!

Dang!

Can't have snow storms messing with my build thread fix!

Get yourself a hot cup of Brovil and crack on!

Personally I can't stand the stuff.... bit too much like liquid Marmite for my liking!

Good stuff! I too love my trems.

It was pretty cool of Mr C to offer to take time out from attending all those Medieval Reenactments he's so fond of ( ). And I thought he was hoping to shake off his forum rep for being "That guy who repairs guitars" !

I'm sure there will be other opportunities for you two to sort out a collaborative build...

Enjoy and stay warm!

Andy

Well Mr.X I came up with a plan for you but you would have to buy some tele pickups
Image

See you have two mini switches.
one to turn on the neck tele pickup and one to turn on the bridge tele pickup.
Just a sugestion.
Tele

You should be ashamed of yourself..Even though you are a senior member who's knowledge i respect I feel the need to take issue with you..

First

You make a Comment that you are bored with the Ultra and or Plus Stratocaster..

This language is just plain unacceptable.

There are so many out there that love there Standards and Hwy 1's along with those who play and cherish there MIM's ..

Yet you so blatantly dismiss the virtues of the Ultra as nothing more then a Harmony or I no name Stratocaster..

When so many fellow forum members are chomping at the bits to get there hands on one of these masterpieces.

Then you dare to mention the horrendous name of Leo's bastard child that i will not say for fear of being cursed to listen to it twang..

Just to clarify to those who know not what i speak of it has the same four letters of abomination as America's favorite past time.I'm not talking Baseball either..

Then you speak of ravaging and destroying a perfectly good Stratocaster so you can splice this abomination to it!!!!!

How dare you speak such Blasphemy for humanities sake there maybe small children reading this thread..You have know cursed there mind and ears to such quackery..

I have no choice then to believe that some form of evil is at foot here..I would like all forum members think on what i say next..

Or friend Xhefri's mind has been taken over by aliens..

We must fight this or the next thing that will happen is or deep soulful bends and warm fulfilling Stratocater tones will be changed in to the dreaded twang of the abomination..

Ignore the words of this impostor so as not to lend credibility to its words.

Xhefri we now know the truth of what has happened..

DON'T WORRY HELP IS ON ITS WAY..

Now because of those nefarious aliens that have taken over your mind you are now out of a 100 guitars :(

You know i really like the word ( Nefarious)..I think i will have to use it more often..Its just the opposite of the word beer which is a baritone, simplistic sounding word without harmony that frankly just sounds moronic..

Yes, nefarious is a bit egregious, don't you think???? My dad always told me, why use a $500 word when a $5 one will do??? so her we go, "wicked".....

And this sort of event is exactly why I love it here! Guitars, aliens, wicked nefariosities, all of it. Carry on lads, it is most envigorating!

Cheers

Nutter

PS: Xhefri, when you send the Ultra over, make sure it's well padded, will you? BTW was nice talking to you on the phone.
