Hi all I am thinking of getting a Fender Stratocaster, specs maple neck/fretboard, hss setup for the pups maybe all sss if the pups are hot enugh to handle what I play, I play punk rock old greenday,bad religion,pennywise stuff like that! Load and fast my price range is about $600 bucks any advice??

Buy a Highway One Strat new, or buy a Mexican made Standard HSS. If you buy the Mexican made guitar, you will have money left over to buy another pickup if the stock one doesn't suit you USA and Mexican guitars are both high quality, and the biggest difference between the 2 will be the price. US made will hold resale value, and usually has a slightly higher quality of wood used in it's construction. But, many Mexican Fenders are GREAT guitars. I don't think you can get the Highway One in HSS with a maple fretboard......but you can get the SSS model.

Used or new they are great guitars.
