Good day Fender universe. I would like to change the bridge pickup on my Am Standard to get a lower distortion for the heavy power cords. Which pickup would you suggest??

Before spending money on a new pickup, make sure the current pickup distance to the strings is set properly. Lower the bridge (and maybe the others if necessary) and see if it sounds cleaner. Pickups set too close to the strings can cause all sorts of problems.

Also, an amp with a lot of tight bottom helps a great deal more than any pickup. A pedal will get you close but may sound more muddy/flubby.
