Hey Y'all Its bluesbreaker and its good to be back. if any of you recall i had an 84 MIJ Fender that i fiixed up. well the temporary fixing didn't hold and the action is way jacked up and much to high to play. I now have a Samick S-type that i received as a gift from my uncle. Its black with a maple fretboard and a very smooth playing axe. My only complaint (other than it not being a fender lol) is the the neck pup is very muddy. I have found that if i switch to the middle/bridge position i get a very nice Clapton/ Mayer tone. I really have grown quite fond of this guitar. Has anyone else had an experience with this kind of guitar?

Hi Bluesbreaker,Aren't those Vox Valvetronix amps fabulous?I have the Valvetronix AD-120-VTH,a 4-12 BN cab with the VC-12 foot controller. If your amp didn't come with a foot controller it would behoove you to pick up one as they really open up the possibilities of the amp.

The answer to your question is YES! I love this thing. Its the best I've owned. and it did come with the foot control which I LOVE! these are great amps that wont break your bank!

I paid $400 for the head(used-$1,200 new).
$300 for the 4-12 BN cabinet with Wharfedales(new)
$150 for the VC-12 Footcontroller (used-$300 new).
So for $850 I got 16 of the world's best amps and very realistic facsimiles of some of the best effects made.I've seen AD-60 used combos advertised for $350 and the lower wattage ones even cheaper so the Valvetronix are quite a bargain both new and used.

Don't have the experience with that guitar, however would suggest to try to lower the pickup. 2 Turns can make a big diff if the pickup is working properly
