I am looking for a strat (or other) with a Fender production neck that is 1 7/8 inch at the nut. I understand these necks are stamped "D". I play classical styles, so need the width and prefer a profile that is fat, U, etc. Does anyone know if there were specific models made with this neck spec, or were they all custom orders?

If I need to place a custom order for a new guitar, does anyone know the price premium for 1 7/8?
