Hi,
I'm new to the forum but I would like an honest opinion on this guitar, Its a 1989 Squire HM3. I was offered $30 for it. I've had it since I was 16 or 17, and I thought I should hang on to it. I broke the neck 10 years ago but had it expertly fixed. The brake did not go through the fret board. The fix is very good. I've had no issues what so ever, the fix is very smooth. But the tone pot is making noise (a scratchy sound when turned), and it is missing the knob. Other then that, I really like this guitar, but I have to sell it, I have 7 guitars and I need money!! I was think about replacing the pot before I sell. What should I replace these with or, where can I find them? I've seen ones with out the break sell for $300.
SO is it worth it to replace before selling or do you think the broken neck makes it worthless???
If its worthless I'll keep it and sell the les paul, HA!

By the way its signed by ace frehley...

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

Another option, since you have many other guitars, is to use it as a parts guitar, the tuners pickups, the neck plate, etc., will be worth keeping and use if you need it. Also, to replace a pot and knob is not that much effort.

You can start a new thread in the Squier guitars discussion lounge since this Heavy Metal Strat is a Squier guitar.

Nice axe, IMO. :P
