Lots of suppliers for Fender licensed strat bodies, but does anybody make bodies for AM DLX? Looking to keep the original body intact and swap out a different color.

There is a negligible difference if any between the bodies, the more important is to look for which contour you have, is it vintage 50's, 70's or 60's. If you go to the http://www.bheffner.com site you can view a profile difference.

A Standard, a Vintage 50's RI, a Deluxe, all that model difference is about the choice of components and neck contour. If you look at a Fender factory photo you will see Stratocaster bodies stacked, each and everyone of them are destined to be a Strat, which model is going to depend upon the pickup setup as well as which model line is prescribed.

But if you have a routed out for SSS you may want to replace with a body routed out for SSS or if you anticipate a pup switch in the future a HSS rout will give you more versatility.
Don't go for the swimming pool bodies as there is too much wood removed and therefore the tone will be very different.

Hope this helps.

To be more specific, I am looking for a choice in colors, while having the AM DLX contoured heel.

I have not seen any on the second hand market, you may have to order one with the specs you want.
