this is kind of a thought question thing. i was thinking one night anodized bolts and those allen heads look good on cars ,karts and engines ect. but what if on guitars like intead of using round head bolts use those flat head ones(on the pickgard). you know this just as an example. tell me what you guys think.

It would probably raise the price slightly but they are cool. I think they would look good. Great idea.

I just completed a Stratopartster rebuild and changed all the pickguard and rear plate screws to phillips flatheads in brass. You just need to figure out the screw thread number and the shaft size of the screws to replace them exactly with different headed screws.
You can find them at any well stocked hardware store.

Thank You, I like the benefit of flathead screws not catching on your clothing, I spent perhaps $5.00 and still have a dozen left over.

I changed the electrics on a strat-like guitar of a friend and replaced the old rusted screws with flat-head torx screws... They look like little stars and because they are flat, they are leveled with the pickguard wich looks kinda cool.

Easy and cheap aesthetic mod and fully reversible.

sorry guys i have no pics. but those torx heads are nice. also fender probably dosnt change screws cause of cost i think a little detail like that would be nice instead of looking at a guitar and going hmm cool you look at the guitar and say cool oh ya look at this paint ohh look at these screws ect. but thats my goal. and they will performance in another way to so lets say tou have a allen head of some sort on there (probably wont hapen cause of the fine threads) the head wont get striped because of the better desighn thus better looks instead of messed up phillips head. but when this is finished i will post pics.
