Hi all - long time lurker and my first post.

I'm a long time and avid lover of the Stratocaster and I'm constantly on the look out for another sweety to add to the family. I have a stable of MIA, CIJ, and MIM Strats and I love them all. So I ambled into my friendly neighborhood Guitar Center last week to feel up a few honeys when I noticed a beat MN4 Strat hanging alone and unwanted on the used rack. She was pretty beat up - scratched and dinged, the bridge was a rusted mess, and the nut was cracked. Usually I'd just pass her up as a lost cause but just for giggles I pulled her off of the rack and sat down and strummed a few chords.

When I sat down and held her it was just perfect. The perfect weight, the perfect worn in neck, the sweet figuring on her neck - it was love at first sight. I thought to myself "with a little work she could be my new number one".

I have a Callaham bridge and a nice set of Duncans to drop in but I'm thinking that I want to got with vintage Gotohs on this one. All of my other Strats have locking Schallers (it's normally my first mod) but I want a slightly different feel for this one. Vintage tuners don't fit on a Mexican strat though because the tuner holes are too big.

Can anyone tell me which conversion bushings that I need to drop a set of vintage Gotohs on this sweet girl and get her singing again? Its a MIM 1994-95.

Thanks all!

I do not know the size you will need since you did not mention the diameter of the holes and what was attached previous.
I suggest e-mailing www.stewmac.com with the diameter of your holes and asking them if they have bushings that will work.
If not you may have to modernize those tuners also.

You just need adapter bushings in either 10mm or 10.5mm depending on the size of your tuner holes.
